Chef Mauricio López - Executive Chef
Hilton Los Cabos

With nearly two decades leading the culinary program at Hilton Los Cabos, Executive Chef Mauricio López blends Baja’s local flavors with global inspiration. His leadership has shaped seven culinary outlets at the resort and earned him honors including the Hilton Chef Diamond Award and Culinary Masters Champion. Chef López is known for his no-shortcuts approach, sourcing fresh ingredients daily from local farms and fisheries. Through thoughtful wine pairings and deeply personalized service, he transforms every meal into a celebration of Mexican hospitality.

Jorge Hernández

A familiar face at Hilton Los Cabos since 2005, Jorge Hernández serves as Pool Concierge with a legacy of excellence and deep roots in the community. Originally from Guadalajara, Jorge has been part of transformative moments for the resort and the brand, earning recognition from CNN and USA Today for his unique approach to hospitality. Known for his calm demeanor, positive spirit, and commitment to guest satisfaction, Jorge takes pride in elevating every encounter with warmth, professionalism, and heartfelt service.

Nayam Virginia Avendaño Lopez

As Experience Concierge, Nayam Virginia Avendaño Lopez brings a passion for creating meaningful guest interactions to Hilton Los Cabos. Originally from Zihuatanejo, she joined the resort three years ago as a Front Desk Agent and quickly advanced through her dedication to service. Nayam believes in the power of personal connection and the lasting impact of genuine hospitality. Empowered to deliver excellence, she tailors every moment to ensure guests enjoy not just a stay, but a memorable experience.

José Guadalupe Alexis Carpacio Gutierrez

With over seven years of service, José Guadalupe Alexis Carpacio Gutierrez plays an essential role in Hilton Los Cabos’ spa team. Starting as a Spa Locker Attendant and continuing in that role today, he is known for his dedication to creating exceptional guest experiences through personalized and attentive service. Originally from Manzanillo, José believes that true hospitality lies in building unforgettable moments—one interaction at a time.

Francisco Villegas Ortega

As Fitness Supervisor at Hilton Los Cabos, Francisco Villegas Ortega brings four years of commitment to wellness and guest care. Originally from Tlaxcala, he fosters a sense of belonging among both team members and guests, believing that a positive work environment is the key to delivering exceptional service. His dedication to well-being extends beyond the gym, helping to shape an atmosphere of warmth, energy, and hospitality throughout the resort.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Gustavo Pinet has been Executive Chef of Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal since 2016, where he oversees all culinary operations at the resort including the resort’s cliff-side, award-winning restaurant, El Farallon, Don Manuel’s, The Beach Club, Crudo, weddings and social events (including cooking classes), poolside dining and the resort’s in-room dining program. As a native of Mexico City, Chef Pinet’s culinary journey began in his grandmother’s kitchen, where he would watch her cook his favorite meals. His curiosity and love of food led him to pursue his formal training at the University Claustro de Sor Juana. Not only does Chef Pinet bring his culinary prowess in Mexican fine dining and international techniques to Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal's culinary program, he’s also passionate about sourcing the freshest ingredients from Baja California all the way to the Yucatan to offer a one-of-a-kind culinary experience to guests.
